My Approach: Mindfulness based counselling

Listening deeply and building a respectful, collaborative relationship is at the heart of my work. I aim to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported.

I tailor each session to your unique needs, always guided by your best interests and what feels most helpful to you.

My approach is grounded in mindfulness. During times of transition, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed or disconnected. Mindfulness helps us slow down, deepen awareness, and develop a more compassionate relationship with ourselves, creating the conditions for meaningful change.

I integrate this approach with evidence-based modalities that offer practical tools to support you in everyday life, and can be particularly helpful for those navigating periods of change, uncertainty, and transition:

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT focuses on helping you relate differently to difficult thoughts and emotions, rather than trying to eliminate them. By learning to accept what is outside of your control and reconnect with what truly matters to you, it becomes possible to move toward a more meaningful, values-led life. Interestingly, as acceptance grows, distress often begins to ease.

Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)

DBT is built on the idea that we can accept ourselves as we are, while also working toward change. It offers a range of practical skills to help you manage emotions, cope with distress, and improve relationships—supporting you to feel more balanced and in control.
